ART RETREAT AT GOODNESTONE PARK MANOR,
KENT, ENGLAND

Immerse yourself in the world of boundless creativity

Hello there, Artists! I am thrilled to invite you to a magical Art Retreat taking place at a historic English manor (much beloved by novelist Jane Austen), surrounded by a vast garden estate, the ideal setting for learning, relaxing, and being inspired! This experience invites you to master the Art of Mixed Media and Outdoor Painting. All experience levels are welcome!

You’ll spend time with like-minded people and share various culinary experiences, wine and food pairings, and local excursions, as well as expert instruction on various styles, techniques, and subject matters.

Set against the stunning scenery of Goodnestone Park Estate and enhanced by visits to notable places like the medieval town of Rye and Sissinghurst Castle Gardens, this retreat goes beyond being a simple art course—it's a profound exploration into the essence of England and Mixed Media Art.

Maria Grossbaum
My work as an artist comes from a close observation and from my admiration of nature. Colors, forms, textures of trees, flowers, shrubs and landscapes in their natural state have always been the inspiration for me to express the beauty of life.
My paintings is the creation of opposites in a variety of rhythms and textures.
I combine different materials in order to overcome the challenge of achieving harmony and unity in my work. Some of my paintings are highly textured and have imbedded objects.
I explore this fine line of ambiguity between pure abstraction and implied realism through the process of layering color and organic texture. My objective is to evoke a sensation or memory in the viewer, of a place remembered or imagined, without literal reference to landscape.
